After years of guiding, these are the ten Jiangxi places we genuinely send our own families to — in the order most travellers combine them.
The Top 10
1. Mount Lu (Lushan). UNESCO cultural landscape, 19th-century villas, waterfalls and 22°C summers. Allow 2–3 days.
2. Wuyuan & Huangling. China's most beautiful countryside: rapeseed terraces in spring, rooftop shaiqiu in autumn. 1–2 days.
3. Jingdezhen. The porcelain capital: ancient kilns, the national ceramics museum and hands-on throwing. 1 day.
4. Sanqingshan. UNESCO granite pinnacles and cliff skywalks; photographers' favourite. 1–2 days.
5. Longhushan. Birthplace of Daoist orthodoxy, red Danxia cliffs and a 40-minute bamboo-raft drift. 1 day.
6. Nanchang. Tengwang Pavilion, August 1st history and the province's best street food. 1 day.
7. Wangxiangu. A dramatically lit cliff town — go for the night views. Half a day to 1 day.
8. Poyang Lake. China's largest freshwater lake; tens of thousands of migratory cranes from October to March. 1 day.
9. Wugong Mountain. Alpine meadows and the region's best multi-day hiking trail. 2 days for trekkers.
10. Jinggangshan & Ruijin. The cradle of the Chinese revolution with serious red-heritage training programs. 2–4 days.
Tip for inbound travellers: Wuyuan sits 30 minutes by HSR from Huangshan and connects toward Xiamen, so a "Huangshan–Jiangxi–Xiamen" grand route is easy to build — ask us for a proposal.
