Mount Lu (Lushan) sits in Jiujiang, Jiangxi Province. Travel Tips
Allow 2–3 days and stay in Guling town on the mountaintop, where early mornings bring sunrise and a sea of clouds. Summer averages only 22°C, making it China's favourite summer retreat; autumn brings fiery foliage and winter brings rime ice.
Getting There
High-speed trains stop at Jiujiang or Lushan stations. Entrance is RMB 160 and the round-trip cable car RMB 120. Bring a light jacket for cool evenings and wear comfortable hiking shoes.
