Jiangxi, in south-eastern China on the south bank of the middle Yangtze, is named after the Tang-dynasty "Jiangnan West Circuit". It combines celebrated mountains and deep culture: the UNESCO Mount Lu, the picture-postcard villages of Wuyuan, the thousand-year porcelain capital Jingdezhen, the Daoist peaks of Sanqingshan and Longhushan, and the historic capital Nanchang.

First-time visitors favour a 5-7 day grand loop starting in Nanchang and linking Mount Lu, Jingdezhen, Wuyuan and Sanqingshan. With more time, extend to Huangshan or Xiamen on a 7-9 day mountain-and-sea itinerary. Getting There
Nanchang Changbei Airport and Nanchang West station are the main hubs, with high-speed trains to Jiujiang (Mount Lu), Wuyuan, Jingdezhen, Shangrao (Sanqingshan) and Yingtan (Longhushan). Overseas visitors can fly into Nanchang or connect by high-speed rail via Shanghai, Hangzhou or Xiamen.
