Mount Sanqing is a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site and Global Geopark revered as a sacred Daoist mountain for over 1,600 years. Its forest of slender granite peaks rising from the clouds rivals Huangshan — with a fraction of the crowds.

Hiking Tips
A cable car carries most of the climb; the summit loop takes 5–6 hours. For the famous "sea of clouds", start early and watch the weather — clear mornings after rain are most rewarding.
Getting There
Nearest high-speed rail stations are Shangrao and Wuyuan. Entrance is RMB 120 and round-trip cable car RMB 125. Many travellers combine Sanqingshan with Wuyuan and Wangxiangu on a 3-day loop.
